The Sheffield Hornpipe
I put this tune in after seeing it on the Requests list. It's the setting in the Charlton Memorial Tunebook, produced some time ago by the Northumbrian Pipers' Society. I know nothing more about this tune, or how it connects with Sheffield.

The only recording I know of this tune is from the Boys of the Lough, "The West of Ireland." Aly Bain and Brendan Begley do a very nice fiddle/accordion duet. Maybe somebody could look up what they say about this tune in their liner notes.

Thanks for this as I used to play it when I lived in Sheffield but had forgotten it.
