I've had this tune swimming around in my head for years now. I know I didn't write it, cos I know I heard it off someone else. I just can't remember who, where or when. I've looked for it in the Advanced search, but got nothing. It sounds kind of Scandinavian to me. I think it's better with only the first section repeated, and the second single.

Is there anyone out there who knows any more about this tune than me??

There is something familiar, but somehow not quite right. I think the B-part returns to the last four measures of the A-part, but there are some other things about the melody as you've given it that don't ring true. I'll try and find time and see if I've anything that can help. I am quite fond of mazurkas, wherever they come from...Irish and otherwise...

This Mazurka without a name ~ remains very familiar...

Unfortunately my resources are slim at the moment and a recent new hard disk that went belly up meant I lost some of what I had accumulated. I had started a database but that is now gone. But, despite that I did look and search for this in a few forms and in a few keys ~ but so far no luck. The search included European mazurkas from several countries and sources...

So, the following is operating on my memory, as I also haven't found my notes on it. I have a vague suspicion it may be Northern European and the bulk of my music from Norway, Sweden, Finland and associated countries, what some collectively refer to as Scandinavia, is not at hand. I left it in the hands and care of others, close friends. Anyway, here is what my memory makes of it in two keys, with some variations which came easy enough and are given as alternatives to the notation already here. As I said, my sense of this remains that the A & B parts share the same last four measures:
