The Road To Ennis

I think this is a fairly recently composed tune; I wouldn't be surprised if somebody's entered it under another name. I got used to hearing it played on the banjo with a lot of triplets or equivalent treatment of crotchet-length notes, and find it difficult to imagine how the tune would work without these. But I much prefer it to The Musical Priest, another B Minor tune it is somewhat reminiscent of.

(Every now and then I've tinkered with the ABC's of this one, since submitting it.)

Road to Ennis = Man of Aran

Sounds like someone's version of Darech de Brun's Man of Aran with bits of The Musical Priest. Maybe.

pgm3 - You're right, it must be Man Of Aran. Its own mother wouldn't know it now it's been through the mangle of the Durham (UK) sessions and my particular bid to remember and record it. But I still prefer it to The Musical Priest - cannibalising bits of the latter strikes me as quite fair game..!
