Emily Smith
My transcription of this jig from A Day Like Today (Emily Smith).
"It was written by Emily to mark the accident to her accordion on the journey home from a tour of Denmark."

Key?
Dmix? or Gmaj? I'm still bad at this...

Key
Hi Pere,
it is definitely D mixolydian. The melody always comes back to G or A at very crucial measures. And I find it also sounds best in D mix. What it makes confusing is that some passages (especially the first half of the second part) sound quite good in G major. The second half of the first part leans towards e minor or C lydian. So it really is an ambiguous piece in terms of harmony, but thus very interesting, because you could add quite some "modern" chords.
