I learnt this tune from Vincent McGrath's "O Cheartlar Mo chroi" album. He composed it himself. This is what the sleeve notes say:
"My wife liked this tune when she first heard it, so with her imprimatur it has to be good enough for the rest of us."
It is a nice simple tune and sounds really traditional, as do all of his tunes. It reminds a little of something Broderick might compose. Probably because it's in Gmajor.
Anyway, he follows it up with a jig in C called "Tommy Leddy's Jig" which I will hopefully get around to transcribing as soon as I learn it.
