"March from my Mother" ~ from the fiddling of Gerry Robichaud
The title given is a play on his comment, not knowing the name, and a better choice than 'gan ainm' which wouldn't have linke to his recording of it.

"March from my Mother" ~ a march, and not so straight ~
~ from the crooked fiddling of Gerry Robichaud:
K: D Major
|: A2 |
d2 ed/e/ | fd B2 | Bg e/f/e/d/ | cB BA |
A2 d2 ed/e/ | fd B2 | Bg ef/e/ | d2 :|

FA A/B/A/G/ | FA A2 | df ef/e/ | d2 :|
Note that bar 5 of the A-part is 3/4, and bar 8 the second time through, before leading into the B-part, is 1/4, as is bar 8 of the B-part first time through, becoming 2/4 again the second time through. But in the end, the number of bars between both versions given is the same, adding an extra 2/4 when playing twice through the 3/4 measure, while losing 2/4 with the two 1/4 measures, so it all adds up in the end.
I wasn't sure about the mess writing out the meter changes for the bars in the original, so I did that straight, as an alternate take, my own. I've had problems in the past putting in things similar, so I played it safe here. Also, I could have shifted all the bar lines around but that wouldn't have represented the crooked take right either, so I've added that take here in the comments... It's a fun tune however you take it, and you could play it as a polka too if it took you that way...
