Trip to Kinvara
The tune was written by Martin Mulhaire, great accordion player and musician from Galway. It was originally titled A Long Way from Home. I learned it from the playing of Jackie Daly (recorded on buttions and Bows with Manus McGuire).

Trip to Kinvara and The Lads of Doocastle
Trip to Kinvara is also known as The Lads of Doocastle. I dimly recall that Eugene Lambe, piper and pipe-maker, released a cassette tape 20 or so years ago titled "Trip to Kinvara." Anybody know for sure?

Some info about the titles from the Fiddler's Companion: Kinvara is in County Galway, on the Clare border. Alternate title “Lads of Doocastle” is from flute player Roger Sherlock, while “Paddy Arthur’s Pint” and “Trip to Kinvara” are from the Green Linnet Céilí Band and Buttons and Bows, respectively. However, the tune was originally composed in the early 1950’s by accordion player Martin Mulhaire as “A Long Way from Home.”
