"The Anderson Family Fling"
I had considered naming it "Title Pending" but was told by the big 'J' that my only option was "Gan Ainm". This came easy, which had me in doubt as to its origins, but it was put together with a certain twosome in mind, a father and son team who squeeze together. So, with that in mind it is designed to be an easy squeeze for tina players, and offering tons of possibilities for variation and ornamentation without any need for any difficult cross fingerings...
The tough thing about naming something after someone is the thought that they might feel some obligation to play a tune they might actually think is cack. Well guys, no obligation, but if it is cack, keep it to your self. My ego is too fragile to take too much direct criticism of my small efforts and this offering. Hey, the intention is good, but I know that one about good intentions, so don't remind me...
It would be nice if you liked it though ~

I really like it 'c'!
Have you tried sharpening the 1st 'c's in bar 2 of both parts? |e^cdB A2d=c| and in other bars too |BG (3B^cd gfed|
Flings are my favourite type of tune.

Sorry, I missed the last ^c in the version just previous... But as I'm repeating, I may as well give some other possible variations...

Nice and simple. I don't actually have any flings in my repoitoire so I might up the antee on them.

Just an inconsequential observation, but the A-part is strangely familar.

Inconsequential? ~ Observation is a consequence in itself. I like consequentiality...
Yes, I play that polka and have for ages, the first two measures:
|: D2 FA | dc BA | ~ and one of the several ways I play it:
|: F>D F/G/A | d/e/d/c/ BA | B ~ & in G ~ |: B>G B/c/d | g/a/g/f/ ed | e ~
Yup! your right 'kitchen-utensil'... The mind works in mysterious ways...

Got to this tune rather late - not generally a fan of Flings but this one goes well and has a nice comfortable familiar feel to it. And I mean that in the nicest possible way!
