Padraig O'Keeffe's
Now here’s a coincidence. “Philomena” has just posted “House Party” by Maura O’Keeffe in the “Recordings section. Tune1 on track 10 is “Padraig O’Keeffe’s” – possibly this tune, but I don’t know, as I haven’t heard Maura’s recording. This unusual polka came from the playing of Maura and her sister Siobhan [ flute ], who were part of a group from Ireland at the Lorient festival in Brittany in 1983. I regard it as a 2 part tune, but the 2nd part is twice as long as the first. Alternatively, you could look on it as a 3 part tune which is played
AABCBC. Same as “The Trip To Durrow”, I suppose.
I never had any name for it until I was able to ask Maura about it at a Willie Clancy week session in 2004. Paul McGrattan taught the same tune at Ballyvourney 2 months ago. Both players called it “Padraig O’Keeffe’s”.

I've also heard it called Dan Callaghan's....but the tune by this name seems to be in another key. same tune though.
