The above is based on a take on this tune played down a 4th by button accordion player and ceili band leader Matt Cunningham...

I had suspected this was a recent composition, along with others that accompanied it in a set, but for some reason in doing searches for it and a load of others I either had missed adding it to the search, or my combination of ABCs, bars and keys just didn't catch the fish I was seeking, a name, composer and some kind of association for the melody. Thanks to Jeremy for moving it here to the 'comments' and finding what I'd failed to do, for whatever reason. Most likely I can blame this too on the now leaving me 'lurgy' and the resultant lost sleep. How did I miss that? The first bar of the D Major takes is identical, as is much else about it. I must be tired. :-/ I'd been looking for a slew of tunes and may have missed and not even included this one in the search before clumsily adding it here in that collective frustration. I've a stack of others here I'd been searching for online. I'll have to take more care.

Thanks again Jeremy for the consideration in transferring it to the comments here, appreciated...

Worse, I actually have the album "Sé", the only one we do own of Lúnasa's, bought for a quid in a clearance... Maybe I should give it another listen to see if any of these others are bundled with this one? ;-)
