I found this tune in print among my papers. Doing a search on "Seamus Egan's" does give some results but not this one. Unfortunately I know nothing of the origin of the tune etc. I think it's a nice little tune. Enjoy

Ed Reavy Tune

It's a bit like Tobbin's Favourite, but I know this tune as "The Swallow's Nest." Sligo whistle player Carmel Gunning recorded in on her first album. A bit of research shows it was another fine tune penned by Ed Reavy. Thanks for posting it!

The Swallow's Nest

For another transcription of the tune, have a look at "The Fiddler's Companion" compiled by Andrew Kuntz. I personally find Byswater's transcripion more playable though.

Now I see why it's associated with Seamus Egan. It's on his first recording "Traditional Music of Ireland." The very last tune of track 8!
