Matt Molloy's
From a session tape, I got the name from Bulmer & Sharpley Vol.4. This is almost note-for-note for that transcription. Good flute tune. Anyone have an older name ?

I always new Matt Molloy's Reel as "Dick Sherlock's" or "The Ashplant". However, the Ashplant is also a different tune in Eminor (I think) and sounds very different than "Dick Sherlock's". This is not Matt Molloy's/Dick Sherlock's/The Ashplant that I have. Did Matt compose this one here? I don't think he composed the one I'm talking about.

Pride of the Bronx / Purty Girls of Our Town / Anderson's
Johnny Cronin recorded this as "The Pride of the Bronx" on his Shanachie LP with Joe "Banjo" Burke. It's a relative of a reel known as "Michael Anderson's" or just "Anderson's" after a Sligo piper, or as "The Purty Girls of Our Town" aka "Pretty Girls of the Village," "Purring Girls..," etc. from Sliabh Luachra.
This version is also played in C, as by fiddler Tom Dunne in NYC, who got it from Paddy Cronin, Johnny's brother.
