Cottage in the Glen
This follows Tom Doorley's playing on flute pretty closely. He puts a triplet into the first bar: |B2 AF D2 (3FGA| Also, fiddlers can play an open string "cran" on that roll on the A in the second bar, or pop a bowed triplet in.
The tune works well a slow to moderate tempos, though I've also heard it at more typical session speeds. It's also known as simply Cottage in the Glen.

The Old Ruined Cottage
I've just realised there's a striking similarity between this tune and "Within a Mile of Dublin": http://thesession.org/tunes/display.php/125 I might be exaggerating, but they are certainly related. There're some more similar tunes, but I will comment later.

Funny, I was thinking it reminds me of the West Clare Reel....

The Old Ruined Cottage in the Glen
This tune seems to be listed as "Lovely Molly" in O'Neill's and "The Glenside Cottage" in Ceol Rince Vol II. See: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/2552/comments

Paul McGrattan plays this as Gan Ainm on his latest solo album "Keelwest."

Don't hear it.
Hm, I don't hear Within a Mile From Dublin with this tune at all. Interesting though.
