Killoran's
This is another reel associated with the Sligo fiddler. It seems related to McFadden's Handsome Daughter, but is different enough IMO. It was recorded with lots of variation by Sligo whistle virtuoso Carmel Gunning, and this is the very basic version of it. Has anybody ever heard it?

No but I will get Carmel Gunning to play it when she comes to town in 2 weeks.

Prepare to be dazzled, Donough. She's even greater than her past pupils: Liam Kelly, Damien Stenson, and June McCormack.

first part is like the A version of the reel (in G)

Yeah, I know that. And it's also similar to the Killavill Fancy. But these tunes have different 2nd parts.

Slainte, isn't this Coming Home From The Bog? http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/2965

I've looked at that one too. It's probably related, but not the identical twin.
# Posted on February 27th 2006 by slainte
Two different settings of the same tune then maybe.
# Posted on February 27th 2006 by Dow
Maybe. But, it's different enough for its own entry IMO.

Hmm, I rather think they're too similar...
