I don't know if it's the right name, but because it's the first polka in the set, so.............

The Blue Ribbon
Thanks for hauling this one in, ceili.
I know this tune as "The Blue Ribbon" from a Johnny O'Leary recording, except that in this submission the A and B parts have been reversed. It's the second tune of Track 15 from the 1995 Craft recording "Johnny O'Leary of Sliabh Luachra." On the recording, he plays it in D. I've heard it called "Blue Ribbon" among contradance players in the USA, and the parts are played in the same order that O'Leary played them too.
In G, I'd play it something like this on my concertina:

I wrote that I would send the third polka in the set from P.S. It's called Sonny Reardon's, but it was submitted by another as The Orange. You can find the P.S. version under 'comments' at The Orange 'site'.
