A sweet little tune
This tune apparently has become known from an ad on Irish television. I was taught it by Michael Rooney, when he was visiting Nelson (New Zealand) for Ceol Aneas. It's played at a moderate pace, and resembles a planxty in character. Thanks Michael for teaching me a lovely tune.

This was (as far as I know) written by John Sheehan, fiddle player from the Dubliners.

Among Friends
It's on the DVD The Dubliners live in Germany (1995). John Sheahan talks about the tune in an interview. He says that he listened to a lot of baroque music which inspired him.
It sounds rather carolan-ish to me so I would class it as a listening tune.
