Played in our sessions since the middle 80's

The source of this tune is Jean-Marie Vermande, a french fiddle player. He learned this tune while traveling in Ireland from a man whose name was James. So we named it James'Jig. I never heard this tune played anywhere else than in our local sessions. Maybe it's a composition of this man. As some bars are not suitable for the pipes and flute I play some notes at the upper octave :
On bars 6 an seven instead of | BGE FDB, | CDE EFG |
I play | BGE FDB | cDE EFG |
On bars 13 and 14 instead of | ~E3 EDB, | CEG DFA |
I play | ~E3 EDB | cEG DFA |
The D sharp on the first bar is optional : E^DE can be replaced by ~E3
Does somebody else heard this tune played somewhere ?
