The Little White Cat
Derek Bell recorded this on Neo Celtic Harp, Tiompan, Oboe & Cor Anglais, Gong with Bodhran & Bones - plus special effects by Stefanie Bell.
Well he would have, wouldn't he!

This is a smashing tune, Dick. I've just been playing it on my low D whistle: cross fingering to get the C and cranning the Es so that the F#s are gone before you notice them! Sounds great slowed down. I think I'll call it Little White Cat unless you can tell me how to pronounce caitin!

Sorry Gords, I ain't got a clue how that word is pronounced. Glad you like the tune though.
N.B. Derek does play it fairly slowly on the record. He makes it sound more like an old Medieval tune, than a modern Irish one.

Pronunciation
Gords, I think it's pronounced "ka-CHEEN". That's how an Irish friend of mine refers to his pet cat when not calling her by name.
