This is the other reel for Johnny Murphy's attention. I named this reel after an enchanting 200 year old Beech tree lined road, near Armoy in Co. Antrim.

But the A part has some lovely turns in it, Dick, and the whole sticks together very well. Perhaps you could give it a second name: "Not So Far From Home."
(And of course you realize "The Beeches of Bregagh" is poetry itself.)

Ha Ha Will, I like it. However, on second thoughts, that 2nd name might just confuse folks. I know what it's like if I get two similar tunes in my head at the same time, at a session - mental chaos!

Ptar, I hope you won't think me rude meddling with your tune, but I did really like it or I wouldn't have bothered!
Let me just make some suggested alterations to the first half of the B part - give it a whirl and see what you think. The E at the end of 4th bar could be tied over into the E at the start of the 5th bar to give it the syncopation that Dow so hates

Hey Donough, I'm just pleased that you could be interested enough in the wee tune to be bothered putting your own stamp on it.
Aint it just part of the 'living tradition' to put our own wee mark on each tune we play anyway, so feel free Donough.
When I'm playing it, I often kick off the 2nd part like this:
