Frankenstein

I can't find anything like it in the tunes database, so I've popped it in.
The tune came from an abortive attempt at learning "Mayor Harrison's Fedora", and is called Frankenstein because it's made of odd bits bolted together through the neck!

Frankenstein

no horror - *very* pleasant tune!
I've learnt it from sheet imediately, it sounds familiar, but not known ...

I think it is in fact in Edorian, not minor, much easier to read, see :

The last bar of each part can be played
GBAG F~E3
to make it a bit more traditional
On the other hand the start of the first part can be played with another rythm as
E2 B EGB EG|B EGB AGFE|
to give it a more modern touch :-)

Great Tune!

I'll have to look up what dorian means - I thought she was the posh one from "Birds of a feather"!
I put it in Eminor cause that's the main chord the guitar player opposite me used when I played it in session!

Frankenstein

The tune has now got into the trad folk evolutionary process and as it is played by my band now. So the ultimative best last bar of each part was found :
GBAF G~E3
