Wish I knew what this was called!
I learned it ages back, but can't remember the name.

Found it!
Trawling through my minidisc archive, I found this tune being played by the late, great Simon Knight, and he gives it the name "Mist in the morning".

Mist in the Morning
Just found this. Actually it was always called The Morning Mist. The Irish title, which is how I got it, from the Liverpool Ceili Band is
Ceo an Mhala.
I'd say that it is one of the tunes that I introduced most people to. Practically all the people in Somerset got this from my playing..."Oh, what a nice tune...what's that called etc.

This ~ jig ~ follows 'Young Francis Mooney' and 'The Humours of Ballydehob' on Jerry O'Sullivan's 'The Gift'. Don't have any background to the tune, though it's one of a few that are kind of '6/8 slides'. Not sure if that makes it a 'hop jig' or 'hop slide', since it seems to right out better in 6/8 than 3/4. This is my first transcription by ear that I've submitted, so hope all's kosher! I tried most combinations of the ABC's in the advanced search and didn't come up with anything.
