Slip reel?

I learned this one at our local session. It is said to be an Altan tune, but as I only have some old Altan recordings I can't submit further information.
The rhythm is 12/8 which is quiet rare. I think the most fitting category is reel time. There is also a nice version of the silver slipper slip jig (http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/1999) in 12/8 and as well a nice tune in A that I learned in Glasgow (which is also said to be recorded by Altan, but I couldn't find it here). Are those slip reels? Anyway, the irregular ending in the last two parts make me wonder if the Roseville is irish. But as Altan shall have recorded it I thought it might fit in here.

Rhythm

Thanks for this info, Pádraigh.

The sheetmusic here is in 4/4. The way I've heard it played has more of the 12/8 or 6/4 feeling. That's why I would write it like this:

X: 1
T: Roseville, The
M: 6/4
L: 1/8
R: reel
K: Gmaj
dedc BAGF E2G2|A3B AGFE DEG2|dedc BAGF E2G2|A3B AGFE DEG2|]

M: 6/4
E2c2 cdcB AGFG|E2G2 CDEF GAGF|EDEF G2D2 A2D2|BAG2 d2B2 A2G2-|\

Seems to one of the more philosophical issues, but it changes the feeling of the tune. Anyway: it's good fun to play it.
