Sometimes you hear a tune and you think, "I've got to learn that - now". This is one of them. This comes from Noel Hill's recently released 2nd solo concertina recording, and is the 2nd reel on what I thought was the outstanding track on it, following after another fine reel, "McGettrick's".

It's "The Geese" !!!!
I've just realised that this is "The Geese In The Bog", the jig in "C", shifted up to "D" and played as a reel.

Mulcahys
.......and it says as much on the "Notes From The Heart" CD by the Mulcahy family, [ which as far as I'm concerned is THE traditional irish recording of the year 2005. ]

[ Aye Kenny, that Mulcahy CD sounds pretty tasty alright. I heard a wee flavour of each track, after our session last Friday night, in the front of Tom's, Ballycastle, at 2am, while sitting in Captain Sensible's Scarlet Audi TT - the heated seat just helped me warm to the recording!

I heard this reel at first in the recording of the Boston Irish Fiddle Festival, and also from Brian Conway and Tony DeMarco (both beautiful versions).

I heard it from the member "sligofiddler" from youtube. A fantastic player and I instantly wanted to learn the tune.
