I realise that this isn't Irish, although many of the tunes previously submitted by me haven't been either.
However, this was a request(sensibly written) and it's a great tune.
The tune is Hakki's Polka but I have to use a tune category with a 4/4 timing. No doubt, we'll have another discussion about whether this is really a polka, a barn dance, or whatever but I'm happy just to play the tune meantime.

other tunes to play with this in a set.

Schottische / German / Barndance ~
Of course, you asked for it ~ it has a typically Scandinavian Schottische feel to it and any of the various versions of that couple dance would work well with it...the collective category being Schottische / German / Barndance...and of course 'polka' in this case. Whatever, it is a damn nice tune and one I've always liked.
