Lizzy in the lowground
This is a great tune written by Liz Carroll and played by her and John Doyle on her great album Lost in The Loop. It has also recently been recorded by Sharron Shannon, Frankie Gavin, Mike McGoldrick and Jim Murray on their album 'Tunes'. The notes are directly transcribed from the sheet music which she has up on her site www.lizcarroll.com. I think most of her tunes are notated there. So there are no notes wrong unless I've done something wrong with the ABC, which is quite possible considering I'm new to ABC. So as soon as the notation comes on this site I'll double check to make sure it is absolutely correct.
I will be adding more Liz Carroll tunes in coming weeks.

Extra bar by accident
I added an extra bar by accident, have now deleted it from the ABC, but it's still in the sheet music until that gets corrected, if it ever does.

by the way it is the third and fourth last bars that repeat each other by accident in the sheet music, so please get rid of one of those!

I will include the tunes I have got from her website on this site as I can, but as you will know we can only submit one tune a day on the site, so if anyone else feels up to it, just go to this page

Billy in the Lowground
Who was the eejit who says this tune is also called Billy in the Lowground? They are completely different tunes. Billy in the Lowground is an American Bluegrass tune which is probably where Liz Carroll got her idea for the title of this tune..
