There are two ways given here, the second not dropping below the 'D' below the staff, out of consideration for those so limited. It's a lovely tune either way but I particularly like that stretch from c' down to A,...

Damn cut & paste, missed the edit ~ I wouldn't drop down there then:
~ |1 GFE GFE | C2 e :| ~ taking it here instead ~ | c2 e :|
But while we're here, I have seen it written down so:
| G3 G3 |1 GFE GFE | C3 :| ~ but personally wouldn't do that either...not and then make the jump to 'a'...
Apologies for the screw-up...

I also like this as a waltz, great fun, which I'll contribute tomorrow...

Dances Down Home, Cheticamp?
There is an error on the title list of The Dances Down Home album (Joseph Cormier) : instead of The Cheticamp Jig, the actual track #8 is another jig, Clay Pipe, an vice versa. On the same CD published by Rounder you can find the Cheticamp Jig opening a set of jigs on the track #12. On the same track, instead of the Traditional Jig you find the Champion Jig : big mistakes on that CD cover!!!
