Scott Skinner wrote this for his father who had lost a finger in an accident,and re-learned the fiddle left handed.Not an easy task.

According to J Murdoch Henderson, this tune was named after George Taylor of Aberdeen. George Taylor had a son, also George, also a left-handed fiddler, and also celebrated in a tune on this site: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/3578
