Mominsko Horo

Not sure who is responsible for this transcription. It was passed on to me by Keiron as a 'Noteworthy' file. I tried playing this in a few sessions in the 1980s, but we generally fell apart before getting to the end. None of us really knew what was going on. I asked Andy irvine about the provenance of this tune. He described it as an early attempt to remember a balkan tune. It doesn't really look all that Balkan, so that is explained.

Did you mean "Balkan Horror"? ;-)

That was a great effort of transcription.

Thanks.

I have tried to enhance the transcription (some things appear more clearly, now, because I am involved into Bulgarian music too). It sounds very unusual for a bulgarian tune, because the time signature is very irregular ... It could be an error from the original transcription (from Andy's memory, if I have well understood)
