The fashion which the lasses have
The tune appears in Capt Simon Fraser's collection under the above title translated from the Gaelic. It wanders between the keys of Amaj and F#m and Fraser's notes describe it as an air with Gaelic verses describing the eccentricities of female dress.

The tune is still regularly played in Scotland, and is almost note for note unchanged from the early collections, except is usually played in A major. Great tune! A recorded version can be found on Jock Tamson's Bairns album of the same name (albeit 'The Lasses Fashion')
