The Lakes of Killarney

This is the third jig in the set on the first track of Liz and Yvonne Kane's cd, Under the Diamond. I've also posted the dots for the other two tunes, Mike Cooney's Fancy (in the comments here: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/3481) and The Newtown Bridge (http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/4538), both Paddy O'Brien tunes.

A quick search of the usual data bases (thesession.org, norbeck's site, and jc's tunefinder) did not yield abcs for Lakes of Killarney. The Kane sisters say they learned the tune from Johnny Connolly.

I like convoluted tunes like this one, especially when they're easier to play than they sound. *grin*

This tune also transfers well to flute by simply playing the low B's and A's and C's an octave higher--they fit right into the flow of the tune.
