The Newtown Bridge
I transcribed this from Liz and Yvonne Kane's playing on Under the Diamond. They credit this tune as a composition of Paddy O'Brien.
I've given both the basic melody, which is a strong one without any ornamentation, and then with most of the cut notes and rolls the Kane sisters use, playing on fiddle. The basic melody works nicely on keyless flute as well.

This is the middle tune in a set of three: Mick Cooney's Fancy, The Newtown Bridge, and the Lakes of Kilalrney. I've posted the abcs for the Kane sisters' setting of the first tune, Mick Cooney's Fancy, here: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/3481
