This tune seems to be a bit of a mixtureof other tunes. Where did it come from?

Yes what is a loughing spoon? Donough, this came from the CD Tony O'Connell and Andy Morrow with Arty McGlynn. Check it out on the session website. Accroding to the CD cover notes the tune was written by Galway musician Carl Hessian. I like the whole set and play it on concertina. Enjoy yourself....
