Sherlock's
This reel comes from Roger Sherlock’s “Memories of Sligo” recording. It isn’t listed at all on the sleeve notes, coming after “Fred Finn’s” and “Sailor On The Rock”. I tried an advanced search and it hasn’t come up with anything. I’ve a feeling I’ve heard it played by “Danu”, but I could be confusing it with something else. Anyone have a name for it?
I’m inclined to name it as “Sherlock’s”, [ rather than yet another “Gan Ainm” ], because he’s the only person I’ve ever heard playing it. I can change it if anyone comes up with an alternative title.

I always wondered who Sherlock was.
I don't read ABC very well, only sheet music, but I think this is the same tune as I found in "A Trip to Sligo" small hardbound green tunebook. This is called either "Sherlock's Fancy" or "Sherlock's Favorite" in there (I'd have to go home and look it up). I started playing it, and discovered that a couple of the large-repertoired fiddlers in my area knew it too, though I didn't ask them their name for it.

Oops.
I take it back - it's probably the same Sherlock, but the more I look at the ABC, the less it seems like it's the same tune. Nevermind!

Roger Sherlock
Roger Sherlock is a flute player originally from Sligo, but who lived much of his life in London, being much involved in the Irish music scene there. He is probably best known for his recordings with the late Sean McGuire. He recorded a solo record on the London “Inchecronin” label called “Memories Of Sligo”, and that’s where this reel came from. I’m pretty sure that the reel called “Sherlock’s” in the “Trip To Sligo” book is actually a tune which I call “Jack McGuire’s”, he being the father of Sean McGuire. Roger did in fact record that particular reel on his solo LP under that very title.

The Old Pensioner
In O'Neill's, this is "The Old Pensioner." I wish someone would reissue "Memories of Sligo," which is one of the greatest flute recordings of all time.

The Old Pensioner
Well spotted "blarneystar". They're not identical, but I think you're right. I've changed the title.

This is on track 2 of Mick O'Brien & Caoimhin O'Raghallaigh's Kitty Lie Over as "Hickey's". Their version has elements of both the setting given here and the one in O'Neill's.
