I think this goes really well on the banjo. De Dannan done a version after Mick Hand's (Sandmount Reel) called The Hills of Clogher. Some slightly variations but basically the same.

Mark o'connor version
Mark O'Connor does a fun version of this tune and Green Groves of Erin with Yo-Yo Ma on the Appalacian Waltz CD. Unusual session they had with some very intersesting harmonies.
