The Thunderstorm
My most recent composition. I wrote it on a stormy day in April 2005 in the West of Ireland where I live. I actually wrote it as a fingerstyle guitar piece (i.e. with bass line) in DADGAD tuning with a Capo on the 2nd fret, but here's the bare-bones in ABC.
My inspiration came from the driving rain lashing against my windows, which leak under extreme conditions. Each gust of wind driven rain seemed to suggest a new phrase. The full version, with thumb bass part and decorations, such as hammer-ons and pull-offs, can be found in MIDI format on my Irish Guitar TAB website.
