Farewell To Ireland
I've searched on the database and not managed to find this tune. This is not the one aka Austin Tierney's that goes D2 (3FED ADFA|Addc def2...This one sounds like a lot of other tunes - McDermott's, Barrowburn, Miss Monaghan etc. all start similarly so they're easily confused.

I think this is the one recorded on Molloy & Keane "Contentment is Wealth."

Also known as Farewell to Erin
Same here, Guitar12. The other "Farewell to Ireland" is on the database here as "Farewell to Erin". I'm sure that most of the recording references will refer to that particular tune.

Shocking isn't it, that two tunes can go by the same name

Guitar12
I would call your Farewell - To Erin, not Ireland. But hey as Dow says two tunes by the same name! Shocking isn't it. It's just the "Same-Antics" again

Many Farewells
Michael Coleman recorded two reels on a 78 side with the sole title "Farewell to Ireland." One of them was "Farewell to Erin" as printed in Ryan's Mammoth Collection and O'Neill's Music of Ireland. The other one was this tune, which was subsequently recorded as "Farewell to Ireland" by James Morrison (probably because of the name on the Coleman disc). It was published in Breathnach's Ceol Rince no. 1.
