Princess Beatrice
Tune origin info from scottish-fiddle.com:
"Princess Beatrice Mary Victoria Feodore was born on April 14, 1857. She was Queen Victoria's ninth (and last) child. This Hornpipe was written by W. B. Laybourn in her honour."
The tune I originally found was in B-flat major, which is painful on the fife/flute. I transposed it, cleaned it up a bit to my taste, and this is how I play it. This is a real fun tune to play on the fife (up one octave, of course), and it took me a long time to be able to play those jumps, but it was worth the effort. Not sure how this key will work on fiddle, but someone try it out and let me know. Perhaps I'll put the Bb version here as well ...

Don't suppose this has anything to do with the same Beatrice as the Reel Beatrice?
