Ormond Sound

Since we have Johnny B. Connolly's Bridgetown cd posted in the Recordings archive, it seemed fitting to post a tune that's on the cd. Ormond Sound is a Paddy O'Brien composition, an accordion and fiddle player from County Tipperary. He led the Ormond Ceili Band and wrote many of the tunes they played.

Aka Saving the Hay

On his cd, The Dangerous Reel, Mike Rafferty calls this Saving the Hay and credits Paddy O'Brien as the composer. No word on where the Hay title comes from.
