One of Junior Crehan's?

Stack of Oats?

I know this tune from a recent recording by Hugh and Colm Healy. They call it "Stack of Oats." It seems Choirce means oats in Gaelic.

Dougie Patience

That would be fiddler Dougie Patience, one time resident of Aberdeen. Please give him my best wishes next time you see him.

"The Little Stack of Oats"

~ a hornpipe by Junior Crehan, and to distinguish it from the 'barndance' with a similar name...

The 4 "Stacks" ~

Another "Stack" of wholegrain griddle cakes that Junior Crehan whipped up:

I think this is rather plain as a hornpipe. It plays better as a reel, with a few minor adjustments.
