Muster Foot: Hornpipe or not?
As I'm pretty new, I was unsure about submitting my own composition, but I've seen a couple recently so I figured I'd take my chances.
This tune was written the day after a particularly *dirty* fife and drum muster last summer, when after 3 nights of sleeping in a dusty camper, the crud on our feet (and elsewhere) was beyond ready to be steamed off. I tried to capture the lamentation "I've got muster foot ..." with the A section, then the B section is the rejoicing "I can finally take a shower!".
My original intention was for it to be in A, but the G#'s proved too much a chore for most fifers, so it has been demoted to G, which should be better for most (though the C nats are a pain as well).
Please let me know what you think (and if it shouldn't really be considered a hornpipe as well)). -- Chris

Just wanted to say, I really like this tune. It's cute! I'd say it's definitely a hornpipe. It's got the right number of bars and the right turn of phrase and that.

Had to add the Rho' Dylin' spelling to emphasize the pronunciation of this tune's title. Get it right, wontcha?
