The Manchester Reel

This is a reel I started playing about a year ago after coming across a transcription of it on the net whilst looking for tunes in my favourite key. I recently revisited the tune and discovered that my version has changed considerably over time and become smoothed out and more Irish-sounding. I reckoned it was time I posted it so that other people can have some fun with it. It's a nice simple tune don't you think?

Apparently it's an American tune by someone called Zeke Backus, so I assume that the title refers to the Manchester in New Hampshire.

Manchester Reel in Bmin

Its a nice tune, too when all the Gsharp are played as G, with the exception of the second bar in the second part where a F# sliding into a long G# (3/8) can help to keep whistler happy to stay with almost no strange fingerings.
Character goes then to Bmin slightly B dorian ???

Nice tune. Maybe I'm all wet, but when I read through it imagining G naturals instead of G sharps, it reminded me a lot of "Ships are Sailing".
