Maids Of Ardnaree
I think the only Irish tune I ever learned from sheet-music without hearing it played first. It was in an edition of "Treoir" in the early 1980s. It is in "O'Neill's" as "The Scolding Wife" and has been recorded under that title by "Any Old Time". It has also recently been recorded by Gerry O'Connor, although both recorded versions are slightly different from the version I have posted.

Gerry O'Connor's version
Gerry O'Connor calls this "The Drunken Maids of Ardnaree." The track on his Journeyman cd is cluttered with noise, but the following is close to what he plays. In place of the long D3 in the A part, Gerry throws in some triplets on subsequent rounds through the tune. e.g, |D/D/D DE FGAF|
