Name this tune?
This is the first in a set of slip jigs attributed as "traditional" on a CD of dance music produced by "Two Left Feet". The other tunes in the set are "Kid On the Mountain" and another Gan Ainm slip jig in Amix which I've already posted. Can anybody spot this one?

Aaarrrggghhh....
They all sound like Whinny Hills of Leitrim to me, just transposed into different keys. Am I stark raving?...

You've spotted this one, Will!
Will, this one is definitely "Whinny Hills", from what I could find in the JC ABC Tunefinder. They have it in D, and apparently the fiddler who plays this version (her name is Fiona Coll) likes to do it in G first. There's apparently another version in Dmix, which is pretty different; this might be what you think my Gan Ainm slip jig in G is. But I don't really see enough similarity. But you're definitely right on this one.

Thanks for the reality check!
At least if I _am_ stark raving, it's not entirely due to tune mania....

This one is called, "Redican's Mother". Which is very similar to "The Whinney Hills" but varies a couple notes here & there. Both tunes are in the Bulmer & Sharpley collections.

Redican's Mother/Larry Redican's
Dan Herlihy simply calls this tune Larry Redican's & says:
"Larry Redican, from Sligo, was a composer of several tunes, more especially reels. Dan first heard this tune from the playing of fiddler Connie Moynihan of Gneeveguilla and Banjo player Denis O'Connor from Castleisland. They frequently play with Dan in the Sliabh Glas Ceili Band."
