Jack, before you say anything, no I didn't post this.
But I wish I had done. This tune is so daggy it makes me convulse! CyberSmudger, please tell me where your session is - I want to jump on a plane and fly there right now. The way you've transcribed this is absolutely fantastic - you've emphasized the stark, elegant, charming, noble simplicity of the tune. Just be careful on this site tho', there are some real purists out there who do not appreciate the beauty of dag. I mean, who needs those fussy Irish reels when you can play *this*?

Oh Jeremy you've changed it into a polka. It looked much more alluring in 4/4!

Daggy, maybe. But put this tune in the hands of Johnny O'Leary and voila! Straight out of the bogs of Sliabh Luachra.

I learned to play this one many years ago when I attended a "mixed instrument" tune class at "The ALP" in Edinburgh. It didn't stay in my repertoire(or anyone elses) for very long.
