This is a reel I first heard arranged into a piano piece by Percy Grainger, then later in an orchestral version. I believe it to be Irish - it could exist under another name (?)

A major
I think its probably easier (on the fiddle) in A.

Ed Reavy wrote a (much better) three part reel by this name but this isn't it!

Molly on the Shore
Percy Grainger got this tune from Stanford's edition of "The Complete Petrie Collection of Ancient Irish Music", where it is Tune No 902 and described as a Cork reel.

Molly on the Shore - Ed Reavy
Just happened upon Ed Reavy's transcription to this tune. The structure's a bit interesting, it's AABBAACC with an alternate A part the second time through:
X: 53
T:Molly on the Shore
R:reel
C:Ed Reavy
M:4/4
L:1/8
Q:300
Z:Joe Reavy
N:Fritz Kreisler once recorded a setting
N:of this popular tune. Ed re-wrote the first
N:two parts and added an original third
N:part. That third part is one of his
N:finest compositions.

Molly on the Shore
I may have posted this question already, but here it goes.
Does anyone have ideas for a set featuring Molly on the Shore? I know Percy Grainger used Temple Hill (Temple Rise) with it. Is there anything else that might work?
