Shetlands-reel
This is a "Norwegian" tune from The Shetland Islands. We play it on hardingerfiddle, so all the A,2 shall be played together with the D-string, and in the second part you play all that's on the A-string together with the E-string. On this tune I always play an opem string together with the 4. finger. Tune up the G-string, it's much easier as that!

Oh, sorry, I've written wrong. All the G's at the D-string shall be G flat.

Oh my lordy lord, I take my hat off to you! I couldn't find a tune daggier than this if I browsed JC's tunefinder 24 hours a day for a month.

This looks like a version of The Donkey Reel http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display.php/2147
or more likely, the Donkey Reel is a version of this tune, shipped into North America with Norwegian settlers and turned into an 'Old Timey' tune (then shipped to Ireland and recorded by The Dubliners).

It's a very funny tune to play, because when we've played it one time, and we start again on the top, some faster it feels like if you play it one note up.
