Biddy from Muckross (aka. The Man from Dublin)

The sleeve notes of Mike & Mary Rafferty's "The Road from Ballinakill" inform that the alternative title of this reel "The Man from Dublin" refers to Kevin O'Reilly, or Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh. When Kevin visited Mike and played this tune for him, Mike insisted on calling it "The Man from Dublin," in honor of Kevin. He is surely a great fiddler, still in his 20's.

Apparently Biddy was an old woman from Donegal, and this is a tune she lilted fairly often. This was in the sleeve of 'The Brass Fiddle' cd.
