High Caul Cap and little yellow goats

A search on this tiltle originally led to http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/1524, submitted as Donkey Riding, but also known as An Gabhairin Bui and several other things. I have added the title to this tune, though, because I think this transcription is closer to the versions of THCC recorded by Brendan Larrissey (http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display/3786) and Shannon Heaton (http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display/3754 - track 2, individual tunes not listed).

I reckon they're different enough not to count as duplication, despite the significant overlapin titles. I much prefer this version, especially on Hardanger fiddle on http://www.thesession.org/recordings/display/3824.

Wow, so many links... Got lost! To cut it short, it's a rendition of Hielan' Laddie (The Highland Laddie, Scottish march), presumably of Clare origin or whatever - at least there used to be a dance called An Gabhairín Buí danced to this very little tune in Clare and Elizabeth Crotty plays a lovely example of it. Scottish snappy march was a bit changed to a march-like polka... Here's Miko Russell giving an insight on this tune, love the accent!

This is NOT the tune played on the CD 'Inne Amarach' recorded by Teada.
It has now been submitted as "Jack Ryans" The transposition which follows is taken from the melodeon playing (2nd time through) Track 4 first tune.
