Coleman's Cross (the reel)
I got this setting from Kevin Crawford's playing on a tape of a session from Gort, Galway in 1992. It's the same session tape he refers to in his liner notes from his CD, "In Good Company."

This would appear to be a different "Coleman's Cross" to the one I'm familiar with which can be found on The Bothy Band album.

Right John... that's a jig (or slide maybe) What I submitted here is a reel with the same title. It also can be found on Kathleen Collin's recording.

"Griffin" according to Molloy & Larsen.
This tune is on Matt Molloy's "Stoney Steps" album. The sleeve notes have the order of the tunes wrong, but Gray Larsen has it in his book as "Griffin From The Bridge", from the playing of Matt Molloy.

Don'tcha just love it?
Ahhh... the controversies about tune titles in ITM. The bane of Jeremy's java script. Most places where these tune shows up have it as "Coleman's Cross" but it doesn't matter really. You could call it "The Old Man's Teeth," or even "A Fart in the Morning," and it would still be a great tune.
If you look up "The Butlers of Glen Avenue" in this database you'll find a perfect example of how tune titles can get all twisted up.
