Blowing Bubbles

Hi guys - this is the second tune I have composed. Just like to know what you think & any tips you can give me.

Thanks

Oh by the way - thanks for the interest with the last one Dion - I couldn't mail you 'cos your mailbox was full. Cheers...

Nice NICE tune -

This is a fun tune to play ... (especially on a Viola or Mandola). Do you have any suggestions for other tunes to compliment it in a set?

Thanks Dion, great to have some encouragement. I'm not
a music student - physics major 1st year BSc. Got some
violin lessons outta this dude back home in Zim Chris
Hamblin and he plays a lot of trad so I got
interested.

I'm afraid I don't know much about putting tunes into
sets - previously I just bummed around and learned the
tunes that ol' Chris had put into sets already so...
sorry for that. Can you give me any idea - I guess the
rough rules are that the tunes should be close enough
to each other to run smoothly but far apart enough to
be interesting?

I guess you're playing the tune down the octave on
your mandola so yeah, youse gots to do the triplets on
the open strings - only thing I got to play with at
the moment is a violin, so you get a few of the third
finger rolls shifting up when you transpose. I think
you're probably playing it faster by a tad than I do
but no way to be sure 'cos all I know is 140 bpm is
roughly 2 times a second - no metronome. That speed
sounds OK tho' I reckon. & plenty of syncopation goes
down OK too.

Cheers

David

PS I tried with the email and it still don't wanna talk to me.
